Countdown to Millions

Well, if you’re here, then I’ll assume you want to know what this site is all about.  So, let’s get this little introduction over with.

My name is Nick Fox, this story’s happy-go-lucky protagonist.  I am a regular guy in my mid-20’s with dreams much larger than my rather diminutive stature.  Like many people, I’ve often dreamed of becoming a millionaire.  However, unlike most, I have not grown out of that desire.  I refuse to dismiss it as impossible.  If I have the drive, I believe I can do it.

As the economic downturn turned into the current recession, I knew that now was the time to do it.  Why?  Well, every protagonist needs insurmountable odds to fight against.  And, judging by the number of people losing money and their jobs, I don’t think I could have asked for a more impossible obstacle to face in my pursuit of riches.

I can hear you (Really, I can’t but just go with it) saying, “Dreams are all well and good, but how in the hell are you going to make $1,000,000 in under 3 years?”  The short answer is: I don’t know.  The longer, more promising answer is: I have many ideas for businesses and products in a small Moleskine notebook.  Each of those ideas individually, I feel, if executed correctly, could make my dream come true.  But with limited time, and limited capital, the challenge will be to choose one of those ideas and follow through with it properly.

By my own estimates, I have about $1,000 in liquid assets that I can actually afford to put towards my goal (If I didn’t have to eat, I could put a lot more into it, but sadly I need to eat), and don’t have some reclusive rich uncle prepared to fund these ventures.  In this day and age where internet wunderkind are given millions of venture capital money to create products and sites without any means of profit, I feel that it is important to show that it is still possible to make something happen through sheer hard work and determination.

I have no clue if I will meet my goal or where this journey will end, but I do know that I will put every ounce of myself into making this work, making my dream come true.  So, I invite you, dear anonymous reader, to follow me on this journey, this adventure and ask that you keep your fingers crossed as I set out because I need all the luck I can get if this I’m going to make this happen.
